In the Shadow of His Wings

In the secret place of the Most High,

Where angels guard and troubles fly,

I dwell within His loving care,

In Jesus’ presence, peace is there.

Beneath the shadow of His wings,

My heart with joyful melody sings.

Each day I seek His holy face,

In prayer, I find His eternal grace.

No snare or pestilence I fear,

For He is close, He’s always near.

His faithfulness my shield and tower,

In His Word, I find my power.

A thousand fall beside my way,

Ten thousand more at hand may lay,

Yet harm cannot my soul invade,

For in His truth, my heart is stayed.

His angels bear me lest I fall,

They heed His voice at every call.

In prayer, I lift my eyes above,

And feel the comfort of His love.

The lion’s roar, the serpent’s bite,

Cannot eclipse His glorious light.

In scripture, His sweet voice I hear,

His promises dispel all my fear.

With every dawn, I seek His face,

And every morning find His grace.

In Jesus’ name, I find my rest,

In His embrace, I’m surely blessed.

For in His love, I’m safe, secure,

Through every trial, I endure.

So daily, I will humbly pray,

And in His Word, I’ll find His way.

Abiding in His sacred space,

I’m strengthened by His warm embrace.

In Jesus’ presence, I will remain,

Until with Jesus, I’ll ever reign.
